Storm Wins at the National Drum and Bass Awards

Storm won Best Female DJ at this year’s National Drum and Bass Awards. A fitting tribute to a lady who has pushed the scene forward from the very beginning….

Having been instrumental to Metalheadz in the earliest days of the label, Storm and her DJ partner Kemistry released the scene-defining “DJ Kicks” compilation on K-7 Records in 1999. Following Kemistry’s tragic passing that same year, Storm continued to push the music that had inspired her & Kemi. Her DJ career has seen her travel the world spreading the Metalheadz vibe. As well as providing a stunning example of a female DJ at the top of the game, Storm has put some serious mixes together such as the stellar “Winter of Content” Metalheadz compilation which dropped in 2005.

Having also given DJing lectures at the Red Bull Music Academy, Storm has always given so much to the scene & inspired so many ladies (& guys for that matter) to pick up some records & share the music that moves them.
